Dr. Ife Rodney
A dermatologist redefining textured hair care.
As a board-certified dermatologist and proud Trinidadian, Dr. Ife Rodney has spent her career studying the connection between scalp health and hair growth in people of color.
From Howard University to advanced dermatopathology training at Johns Hopkins, Dr. Rodney’s expertise bridges medical science and the artistry of textured hair. Her personal experience wearing sister locs inspired the creation of BLCK, born from the challenge of finding clean, effective products that remove buildup, soothe irritation, and protect scalp health.
What began as a solution for her own hair evolved into a mission to elevate textured hair care through clinical research, inclusivity, and intentional formulation.
